To ensure the Civic Theatre continues to be a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable space where all people can gather to connect, engage, and get inspired, we have a Code of Conduct that applies to all attendees, artists, volunteers and staff at our events.
If someone is disrespectful, inappropriate, or generally not adhering to our Code of Conduct, we reserve the right to immediately remove them without refund (if applicable) and/or ban them from future Civic Theatre events.
The following behavior is not welcome at Civic Theatre:
- Harassment or discrimination of any kind — We have a zero tolerance policy for any form of harassment, discrimination, intimidation, racism, sexism, or otherwise targeted comments.
- Sexual misconduct or harassment — including unwelcome verbal or physical advances, inappropriate touching, or any other unwanted sexual attention
- Offensive, threatening, or abusive language — whether directed at another person or used in a way that creates an uncomfortable or hostile environment for those around you
- Aggressive or intimidating behavior — including stalking, following, threatening, or otherwise making another person feel unsafe
- Coercing or pressuring others with alcohol or substances — including providing intoxicants to someone without their knowledge or consent
- Abuse of power or position — whether as a performer, staff member, or otherwise using influence or status to take advantage of or demean others
Anyone who violates this Code of Conduct may be removed from the venue immediately without refund and/or banned from future Civic Theatre events. We reserve the right to make that call at our discretion.
