Between Classic and Cutting Edge
Originally built in 1906 (as The Shubert), the Civic has loomed large in the imagination of New Orleans for decades. Over its varied history, it has hosted vaudeville, burlesque, musicals, and disco.
In 2011, after years of neglect, the Civic was transformed through an extensive and meticulous renovation effort. The goal was to preserve the building’s architectural character while introducing state-of-the-art AV technology and an innovative hydraulic flooring system that allows for multiple configurations.
Today, the Civic is alive and kicking once again as one of the South’s premier venues. Like New Orleans, the Civic is living history, a place where memories get made.

A Uniquely Flexible Space.
Thanks to the Civic’s pioneering design, we are able to host nearly any conceivable event. Our modular flooring, multiple levels, and cutting-edge technological capabilities open up innumerable opportunities to make an impression. From fashion show to gala to television filming, we can host it.

The Bar at the Civic.
Our bar program was designed by renowned mixologist Neal Bodenheimer (of Cure andCane & Table). We use American-made, small-batch spirits, organic ingredients, and craft cocktail techniques. We pride ourselves on providing our guests with drinks created with wit and care.
We’re pleased to offer private event clients bar consultation, including custom recipes that suit the occasion.
